Patty Jewett

Patty Jewett is a popular area, by the golf course of the same name, of mostly smaller homes built in the 1950s and 1960s.  Quiet, tree-lined streets make this a good walking and biking neighborhood.  The Patty Jewett golf course is the 3rd oldest, continuously running, municipal golf course west of the Mississippi.  The club house is a vintage, historic, half timber look.  The grill there is a great place for a meal, drinks, or meeting.  It is hard to find a home less than median value in this area, in spite of the smaller size and older age of these well kept homes.  The area has a Greek Orthodox church with an annual Greek festival every August that is well attended.  A short distance north of this area is MacKenzie Place which is a continuum of care campus for 55+ residents with a variety of living options and a central location in the city.  Nancy Lewis Park is loved and used frequently by this neighborhood.
